Key findings of the map:
Wales beat England and Scotland as the country with highest installations per 10,000 households
South West of England had the highest number of installations per 10,000 households in GB
The top 10 biggest cities in the UK produced some of the lowest results for solar installations, with London bottom of the list
Despite the South East of England being one of the best places for solar energy in the UK, it is lagging behind many other regions
Sunderland emerged as one of the few green solar heroes of the North
