Good Energy Win Renewable Energy Award
Renewable electricity company Good Energy has beaten a strong field to win the "˜Leadership Award' at the 2015 British Renewable Energy Association awards.
The company secured the award for its continued commitment towards securing the future of the UK's energy needs from renewable sources.
Last year alone, the supplier and generator built and commissioned a new wind farm and its first two solar farms, and invested in a number of new sites, two of which began generating renewable electricity earlier this year. We also invested in new trading and forecasting systems to maximise the efficiency of our 100% renewable platform.
The annual awards were set up to celebrate the achievements of those organisations and individuals who are playing a crucial role within the renewable industry.
Juliet Davenport OBE, CEO and founder of Good Energy, said: "Good Energy has been a catalyst for change for more than 15 years, giving consumers the chance to choose 100% renewable electricity right from the start, and breaking down the barriers to a 100% renewable future.
"Our mission to tackle climate change remains at the core of our business and in the past year we've continued to invest in new renewable generation projects and secured funding for the next phase of our growth strategy.
"It's a real honour to receive this award as it recognises the efforts of everyone who has helped make Good Energy what it is today."
