House Of Lords DECC Minister Visits Lightsource New HQ
Lightsource Renewable Energy, received a visit from Baroness Verma, the Department for Energy and Climate Change (DECC) minister in the House of Lords to discuss the future potential of solar energy in the UK. Lightsource operates the largest portfolio of solar PV projects in Europe, having deployed over £1.5billion of investment into the local economy since its inception in 2010.
Lightsource recently announced moving headquarters to the landmark building 33 Holborn, celebrating tremendous growth from 6 full-time employees to over 350 in just over 4 short years. The company is also firmly on track to become the first solar energy company in the world to reach a 1 Gigawatt operational portfolio of solar PV assets deployed in the one country by end of March this year.
Baroness Verma visited Lightsource's London headquarters to meet with senior company representatives and the British Photovoltaic Association (BPVA) to discuss the role solar energy has to play in the future energy mix.
