Lightsource Relocates To New Central London Headquarters
Lightsource Renewable Energy, has moved into new London headquarters at 33 Holborn this week as it marks another milestone in the company's history.
Lightsource has moved from its former base at Old Bailey to a new custom-built office space of more than 30,000 square ft to accommodate the growing Lightsource team. Founded in 2010 with just six staff, Lightsource now has a team of over 300 in-house professionals from over 25 different nations and in that time has become the largest PV business in Europe.
Proving that solar energy has become more than just a cottage industry, the company operates and maintains the largest portfolio of utility scale solar PV plants in the United Kingdom with a total installed capacity of more than 700MWp. With a very significant pipeline under construction, Lightsource is well on-course to become the first UK developer to hit the 1GWp mark early this year.
In just four years, Lightsource has deployed more than £1.3billion of retail investment into commercial scale solar energy projects, primarily in the UK and has also recently launched various new and pioneering solar products for the rooftop market, which has already generated a strong pipeline.
