The Lord Provost of the City of Edinburgh, The Rt. Hon. Donald Wilson, officially opened the new Edinburgh office of BayWa r.e. on Thursday, 6 November, 2014.

The newly formed BayWa r.e. Edinburgh team focuses on wind project development and construction as well as operations management of solar and wind projects. Commenting on the opening, CEO of BayWa r.e. Matthias Taft said, "The opening of the Edinburgh office is a significant milestone in our UK growth story, which to date has included wind and solar project acquisition, development and construction as well as photovoltaic (PV) component supply and distribution." Katy Hogg, Managing Director of BayWa r.e.
