Construction Of Nanteague Farm Solar Park
British Solar Renewables (BSR) has announce the expansion of its existing relationship with Ingenious Clean Energy with the forward funding of Nanteague Farm Solar Park.
Nanteague Farm Solar Park is being constructed on a 13 hectare site near Truro in Cornwall, which when completed will comprise 29,436 panels of 260 watts each. The solar park will be capable of delivering 7.65 megawatts of electricity, enough to meet the average annual demand of 2,360 typical UK households.
Planning permission for the project was granted in April 2013 and it is envisaged the park will be completed in Q1 2015.
Angus Macdonald, BSR's Managing Director, comments "We are delighted to be building on our relationship with Ingenious by embarking on our fifth solar park within a year. We look forward to delivering the plant using our fully integrated internal construction team".
Jonathan Dunn, Fund Manager at Ingenious Clean Energy, says "We are pleased to further grow our relationship with BSR through the acquisition of another solar park from a team with an excellent track record of delivering high quality assets".
BSR is the UK's leading integrated solar company encompassing development, construction, independent connection and operational services. Through this collaboration, BSR will also manage and optimise the performance of the solar park for the long term via its operations and maintenance team. Corbin Industries will provide the steel fabrication and ground mounting systems whilst BSR's subsidiary Renewable Energy Connections will provide the grid connection working in conjunction with the distribution network operator, Western Power Distribution.
