Abakus Announces Further UK Projects

abakus BYes solar UK has signed a further 8.2 MWp project in the UK as EPC and O&M provider.

The second project located in East Sussex will again be delivered for Low Carbon, the financial investor. The project has a capacity of 8.2 MWp and construction starts in October with energisation of the project in early 2015.

The project is designed to use central inverters and poly-crystalline modules and will be connected to a 33kV overhead line.

abakus solar again is responsible for the engineering and the design of the solar power plant and is also leading on the qualification process of the main photovoltaic components and commissioning of the plant.

Bouygues Energies & Services is part of the French Bouygues Construction Group, a multinational company with an annual turnover of €11.1 billion. The company is responsible for all civil and electrical construction works of the solar park.

"We are happy to execute this second project under our successful cooperation structure with Bouygues E&S and are looking forward to realise more projects within the next months" says Roland Wigger, CEO of abakus solar AG.

"Our setup shows that we are able to provide a bankable EPC and O&M solution for financial investors and that we are well prepared for the next projects to come" says Edward Peeke, Managing Director of Bouygues E&S Infrastructure UK Limited.
