Chinese Premier Visit Sees 400 Million Pound Deal
ZNSHINE SOLAR signed a £400 million deal with MAP Environmental on June 17th 2014 on the occasion of the Chinese Premier Li Keqiang's visit to the UK, in the presence of UK Prime Minister David Cameron and of Premier Li Keqiang.
Deals worth of £14 billion were signed on June 17th 2014 at the British Commonwealth Building, London, marking the start of a new era between Britain and China. ZNSHINE SOLAR and MAP Environmental, a British organization specialized in renewable technologies, will invest together an overall £400 million in the development of solar powered projects. This corresponds to approximately 400 MW of installed capacity. The deal was approved by the UK Government and is expected to create up to 50 new jobs in design, administration and operation roles, with a further 500 new jobs in construction and maintenance at a local level.
ZNSHINE SOLAR and MAP Environmental will cooperate in the field of project development, solar module delivery and offer of turnkey projects, ranging from social housing to commercial rooftop and to ground mounted projects across the UK. ZNSHINE SOLAR and MAP Environmental will contribute to the investment with a 50% share each within the next two years.

The deal between ZNSHINE SOLAR and MAP Environmental is the largest of its kind in the UK and marks a significant step towards achieving the goal of reducing carbon emissions in the UK by 80% by the year 2050.
