British Solar Renewables Completes Projects Before Deadline
British Solar Renewables has announced that it has connected 10 solar farms across the UK, adding a total of 113MW of new capacity to the grid before the latest reduction to the renewable obligation rate in April.
British Solar Renewables in-house EPC took the lead with site planning, design and construction and their subsidiary independent connection provider, Renewable Energy Connections linking the solar parks to the grid.
Business Development Director, Giles Frampton said "˜In spite of the issues caused by the worst storms and flooding in the UK on record, which ran from December through to February, the BSRL team were able to construct and deliver the parks in time to hit the ROC deadline. The company has delivered 113MW of solar and is in a position to do the same again in the next six months. This achievement is testament to the hard work and dedication of our delivery team and the many sub-contractors that we work with.'
Underpinning the BSRL solar parks are the ground mountings developed by Dorset based engineering framing system specialist Corbin Industries.
Since its launch in 2010, Somerset based British Solar Renewables has developed a strong track record with operational solar farms across the UK and an exciting pipeline. This has enabled the company to attract significant investment and achieve an annual turnover of around £200 million.
