DECC Figures Reveal Slowing Domestic UK Market
The most recent figures from DECC show that there were 1,859 sub 50 kW PV installations registered during the week ending 9th February 2014. This increases the overall number of sub 50kW installations registered to 509 000. Although demonstrating the continued strength of the UK domestic PV market the numbers show another slight decrease from week on week figures. The previous week saw 1,952 installations.
There has been a steady slowing of numbers since mid January but weather can be a contributing factor. With policy changes due in March and April there will probably a rush to complete projects before any changes.
The total capacity installed for the week ending February the 9th was 7.1MW compared to 7.6MW the previous week. With overall installed capacity now stands at 1.84GW which is a 0.4% increase.
