Timely Reminder For Archaeological Check
A solar operator is being held up in developing an old airfield after questions were raised that the site could be of archaeological significance.
Braintree Council in Essex will vote in a few weeks on whether Push Energy will able to continue to develop agricultural land north of Gosfield Airfield.
The proposed 21 acre PV project came under question when Essex County Council (ECC) archaeologists suggested the site was in an area of interest and could include medieval artifacts as well as the remains of medieval structures including moats and kilns.
The company is participating in the council process and will wait for the outcome of the council decision.
