BayWa R.e. Constructs 18.4 MW Solar Plant In England

BayWa r.e. renewable energy GmbH (BayWa r.e.) is currently constructing its second solar power plant in England, near Oxford. The total capacity of the plant will be 18.4 MWp.

The works are expected to be completed during October 2013 and the final plant is expected to generate 19.000 MWh annually, equivalent to supplying approximately 5.000 households with clean energy, and corresponding to CO2 saving of ca. 262.000 t.

BayWa r.e. has a total of almost 40 MWp currently under construction in the UK and a further 10 MWp are in the due to commence shortly. In addition the company plans to realize a similar volume of projects again during 2014 and as such is in parallel expanding its network of local project developers and service providers.
