INRG Announces 17MW Solar Project
INRG Solar have successfully added another Solar Park to their growing portfolio of sites across the UK. The new 17MW site in Turweston, Buckinghamshire was granted planning permission by Aylesbury Vale District council on an old airfield which is secluded from the surrounding countryside and ideal for a solar park. The site will be one of the largest completed to date in the UK.
This development will generate sufficient electricity for 4,000 homes in the area saving over 3,000 tonnes of carbon pa, a gigantic 75,000 tonnes over the solar parks life cycle. David Dean Commercial manager for INRG Solar said., "˜As a leading UK solar developer we are very pleased to have secured planning permission on this important project. The project underscores our company's commitment to develop UK solar power plants. Large ground-mounted photovoltaic plants not only contribute to stable power supply, they also ensure power supply at stable prices over the long term."
INRG Solar are working on a development pipe line of in excess of 300MW which will be developed over the next 2 years. David said "˜we are focused on developing our pipeline further and working with local communities on sites that are suitable for us to develop"
