Solarcentury Looks To The Future With New HQ And Refreshed Identity

News
Solarcentury is on the move from Waterloo to Clerkenwell as the London-based PV company continues to thrive.

Established in 1998 and now approaching its 15th birthday, Solarcentury has grown from a UK-focused solar PV roofing specialist to a global player with offices in London, Italy, The Netherlands and Africa. It has installed 180MWp.

Frans van den Heuvel, CEO, said: "Our company and our market have matured. Our new presence, both physical and virtual, will reflect this. Solarcentury has a great name and reputation in the market. However, we felt our visual identity and working environment could do with a re-vamp in order to match the company's global ambitions."

The new logo is warm and strong. And the identity will ensure the offer is clear, simple and clean. The idea behind the revised logo is "˜infinite energy' "“ so there is a hint of the infinity symbol "“ but without being too literal. Previously, the logo referred to the design of solar cells. We no longer believe we have to reference the technology itself as the market is familiar with what PV is. Instead, we want to focus on what PV can do for the world and how it can be simply integrated into our lives.

The new offices have been designed and fitted out to reflect the modernized look and feel of the business. At the heart was an objective to create a sustainable and energy efficient workplace, in accordance with the organisation's mission.
