Ikaros Solar Builds 2 Large Scale Projects With 6.4 MWp Capacity

News

Ikaros Solar has announced the completion of 2 large scale projects with a total capacity 6.4 MWp. Located in Devon and Hampshire, the plants were grid connected prior to 31st March 2013.

In Andover (Hampshire) a former World WarII Airfield was transformed in a 4.3 MWp solar plant.

In Langlands (Devon) a 2.1 MWp ground solar plant was built on farming land. Both projects were completed on time. Ikaros Solar has been responsible for developing and building the sites. It has taken care of regulatory approvals, system design and installation, grid connection, power purchase agreements, all combined in turnkey projects. The parks were sold to investors in the UK.

"We are delighted to have demonstrated our capability once again. Apart from our ability to build out rapidly major projects such as these, our customers are increasingly attracted by the fact that we can cover the full scope of their requirements. We are well known as a trusted and reliable EPC company. However, we can provide much more :secure the grid connection, manage the planning application, obtain debt or equity finance through investment houses in London, negotiate a power
purchase agreement and conduct the subsequent operation of the solar park. " Comments Mike Carter, Managing Director of Ikaros Solar Ltd.
