Green Electrician Offers UK Made Solar Product

News

The Green Electrician Group has introduced solar panels from UK manufacturer Romag to its range of solar products for Spring 2013, providing customers with high quality, British-made panels reducing the carbon footprint across its installations.

County Durham based Romag has been manufacturing panels since 2004 as an extension to its

70-year old world-leading business of specialist glass manufacturing.  Romag panels use no Chinese components avoiding exposure to the European Commission's Chinese anti-dumping investigation.

Romag's wide product range is well suited to the Green Electrician Group's diverse customer base, with applications for solar tiles, standard rooftop and customised building-integrated systems, alongside its popular black solar panel range, providing an enhanced aesthetic appearance on most roofs.

"There is a genuine appetite for British-made solar products and Romag has worked hard to improve pricing to compete on the world market," said the Green Electrician Group's Managing Director, Rupert Higgin. "We are delighted to be offering Romag products to our customers, not only for their quality and performance but also for their low CO2 content due to the delivery and manufacturing process being close to home."

A ROMAG spokesperson said,: "We look forward to working with the Green Electrician Group to offer their customers the best of British manufacturing.  As the first UK solar panel manufacturer to receive the BSI kite mark, the performance and reliability of our solar products have been proved repeatedly in high profile installations across the country.  We continue to develop our solar product range to adapt to the ever-changing market offering on roof, in roof and bespoke options to meet various customer needs."
