Race On Near Silverstone To Complete Solar Farm By Deadline
A solar park near Silverstone is being completed to take advantage of the current subsidy scheme before expected changes on April 1st. Hive Energy is pushing its capabilities to complete the 37 acre project that was given the green light by South Northants council last year.
Once completed the 5 MW solar farm will realise enough energy to power 1500 homes. The company knows it must be up and running by March the 30th and is pushing to have the energy flowing. The landscaping and completion work will take place after the deadline to ensure the impact of the 20 000 solar panels will be minimal on the surrounding countryside.
