Romanian Project Furthers Local Energy Goals
Phono Solar, a renewable energy solutions manufacturer, and Electrasol Proiect, photovoltaic system manufacturer and developer, announced the completion of a 500 KW installation in the Galati region of Romania. The Phono Solar 195 W monocrystalline modules used will generate electricity to power approximately 1250 average Romanian homes, or will displace the equivalent of 614.07 metric tons of CO2 per year. The installation took place in the Galati county in Romania, an area which receives (on an inclined surface of 35°) total annual radiation levels of 1,634kWh/m2. This project is the first PV project completed in the county.

The Galati county is an area that could potentially generate vast amounts of energy through PV technology. The installation in Galati is just one of a number of projects completed through our partnership in 2012 that will displace CO2 emissions by close to 700 tons per year."
