Q-Cells Opens In UK
Q-Cells SE, is expanding in the UK photovoltaic market with a new London office and a growing network of installers to be announced later in the year. Despite the economic conditions and uncertainty in the PV market following changes to the UK Government's FIT tariff policies; Britain remains a market with huge potential for Q.Cells.
The German based manufacturer is committed to offering a portfolio of solar cells, modules and systems for various applications to its UK clients and focusing on growing its network of installers and distributors to capitalise on the demand in Britain for high performance PV systems. Q.Cells solar technology bearing the stamp "Engineered in Germany" offers a wide range of output and security advantages enhancing quality.
"At Q.Cells, the inspection guidelines for our cells are tougher than the required legal standards", explains UK managing director Jonathan Goose. "Our tests indicate that Q.Cells modules and cells outperform most rival products. What's more we believe that to generate a consistent and effective level of energy from an average UK roof (40 square metres), a homeowner or organisation should be installing the product with the highest yields secured over time to make best use of the available space. We think we offer what the UK market needs."
Q.Cells products lead the whole sector in terms of performance and value. Q-Cells products come with a unique quality label called Q.Cells Yield Security, which comprises guarantees that protect against imitations, loss of performance and the risk of fire. This means investments in Q.Cells photovoltaic solutions pay off more quickly than those from other manufacturers "“ and remain secure in the long term. 200 Q.Cells scientists are constantly seeking out new and innovative ways to improve the yield of its products PV applications. In 2011, Q.Cells has set six world records with regard to the efficiency of its products. Q.Cells thin film modules have the world's best efficiencies in serial production - of up to 14.7% - and perform well even on cloudy days, or on rooftops that are not south-facing or partially shaded, therefore making them ideal for the UK.
"Our strength is the technology inside our products. All of them use our own cells, developed and manufactured by Q.Cells. That's how we can be so confident about the performance of the modules, their consistent yield and how they cope with some of the low light conditions prevalent in many parts of the UK. Installers and distributors we are talking to like what they have seen of our products. Q.Cells is going to make a big impact on the UK market in 2012," ends Jonathan Goose.
