SIG Energy Management To Launch Interactive Eco Map
SIG Energy Management, a European provider of whole-property energy management solutions, has created a unique way to navigate the complex legislative landscape of current energy policy.
An interactive Eco Map "“ shows what energy efficiency measures can be obtained under each different Government scheme.
A simple but innovative information tool, the eco map will help delegates understand the transition from the Carbon Emissions Reduction Target (CERT) and Community Energy Saving Programme (CESP) schemes to new policies such as the Green Deal and Energy Company Obligations (ECO), and get to grips with the complexities of ever-changing building and planning regulations.
The interactive display will be housed in a life-size "˜demonstrator' property at EcoBuild, which shows the difference between an energy efficient property and a poorly insulated home, and the different measures that can be used to improve a home's performance and efficiency.
"One of the biggest issues facing current Government policy is in getting people to understand and buy into the ideas behind energy efficiency," explains Neil, "and not just tenants and homeowners, but social landlords, housing associations, builders, developers, and indeed energy efficiency providers as well.
A series of seminars aimed at explaining different areas of policy, and where opportunities lie, will also be run daily at lunchtime on SIG Energy Management's stand S3250 South Hall at EcoBuild 20th -22nd March 2012
