Solaria Enters Into The UK Market

2.2 MW strategic supply agreement for rooftop systems
Solaria Energía y Medio Ambiente, S.A. has signed up a strategic agreement for the supply of more than 500 rooftops in Northumbria, United Kingdom. All installations will be totally connected to the grid and ready to produce clean solar photovoltaic energy with the maximum efficiency within the next months. This framework agreement is part of the Solaria's global expansion strategy. United Kingdom is one of Solaria`s strategic core growth markets, because of its growing residential sector, where Solaria`s Photovoltaic Kit can provide an efficient solution.

The systems used will cover a range of power outputs that start at less than 2KW and go up to 10KW (nominal power), to be fitted to the roofs of about several hundred council-owned houses and over a hundred public buildings in a strong investment in renewable energy generation made by the county council. The aim of the project is to use sun power for council tenants, school staff and pupils, and users of community buildings. The excess energy will be sold to the national grid to give the council a return on its investment "“ and help cut costs and protect jobs and services.

Through this agreement Solaria will supply its PV Kits including the latest technology in second-generation photovoltaic modules, which offer the best performance both in electric efficiency and in mechanical resilience and endurance to corrosion, even in salty environments.
In addition to its entry in the UK market, Solaria has a strong presence in other countries in Europe with sales offices in Freiburg (Germany), Lyon (France) and Genova (Italy), as well as a solid distribution network built up during the last year. Moreover, thanks to the company's strong commitment to internationalization, new markets are being opened in key areas such as the Middle East and Latin America.

According to David Carrasco, Solaria`s Commercial Director, "our entry in the UK market reflects its strategic commitment to continue company's sales growth as a consequence of a firm internationalization process with good expectations to the future. This is our first step into this market, where we are able to offer an efficient energy solution for distributed generation markets."
