Siel To Install 2MW Roof Mounted PV Installation

News
New system will be installed at NYSE Euronext’s new UK state of the art data centre
Gloucestershire based energy expert SIEL has been commissioned to install the first phase of the one of the UK's largest roof mounted Grid Connected solar installations. Totalling 600kWp, the new system will be installed at NYSE Euronext's new UK state of the art data centre.

The installation will comprise of 6 SOLEIL LV PV converters each rated 100kWp. Each Inverter, will be configured with 29 strings of high output Multicrystalline PV modules manufactured by Tenesol, connected via intelligent parallel string boxes.

A full communications and data-logging system based on SIEL's own TGS2 monitoring platform will be installed providing real time surveillance of operational status, alarms & production data for both the individual Inverters and PV strings.

The initial installation is projected to generate in excess of 450,000kW/hrs of electricity and save over 255 tonnes of CO2 per annum.

The SOLEIL converters are manufactured by SIEL UK's parent Company SIEL SpA in Italy.  SIEL SpA have developed a comprehensive product  portfolio of G83/1 compliant ‘SOLEIL' PV Inverters under the brand name of ‘SIAC' in the power range from 10 - 500kWp for both ‘Stand-a-Lone' and  ‘Grid Connected' applications. Systems from 80kWp can be supplied in MV configuration.  Larger systems can also be supplied as a PV containerised solution up to 1MVA including MV transformer & switchgear (PS1000).

Over 900MW of SOLEIL converters are already installed throughout Europe, many are a notable size on large solar farms, for instance 22MW at Luzentia (Spain), 6MW at Paggiorsini (Italy) and currently the largest ‘GREENHOUSE' installation of 1MW capacity located in Lonato near Brescia, Italy.

SIEL's extensive experience and product range combined with the introduction of the new UK FIT (Feed in Tariff) in April this year mean they are now attracting considerable interest in the UK and are being specified on several major projects currently.  SIEL UK's  previous experience within the power protection field also enables it to provide full ‘Turnkey' project capability and continued product support  through on-going maintenance by its own fully equipped factory trained engineers and the provision of genuine spare parts from the UK.

Extended 25 year warranties for the SOLEIL converters are available.
