IBC Solar Targets UK Rooftop Market
One of Germany's leading solar installation firms has entered the UK market with the opening of a new office in Oxford headed up by Andreas Heinrichs, with plans that could see the company employ around 100 installers by the end of the year.
Bavaria-based IBC Solar currently employs around 400 staff worldwide and has emerged as one of the leading players in Germany's booming solar energy market, installing around 1.3GW of solar panels globally with installations ranging from large solar farms to small scale rooftop solar panels. The company is expecting significant demand and aims to employ up to 100 solar installers, while also investing in a new UK distribution facility.
IBC Solar will face an increasingly competitive UK market as it attempts to take on market leader Solarcentury.
