Tronics Extends Into U.S. For MEMS

The Texas based company extends Tronics Microsystems’ Custom MEMS expertise and increases MEMS volume production capabilities for North American companies.
Tronics Microsystems, a provider of custom MEMS components and microsystems for demanding applications, announced the formation of Tronics MEMS, a U.S. company that will focus on providing prototyping, qualification and volume production services for custom MEMS components for the North American market.

Tronics MEMS joins MedTech Development in the U.S. and Tronics Microsystems in Europe to position the multi national Tronics group of companies to best serve customers in North America, Europe and Asia.

Operating out of a 140,000 square feet facility in Richardson, Texas, Tronics MEMS offers innovative, customised MEMS process and production solutions to customers for medical, mobile media, automotive, printer, aerospace and consumer applications.

Customers will benefit from Tronics MEMS's U.S. based MEMS development and manufacturing expertise, production capacity and customer support. Tronics MEMS employs a team of dedicated engineers, project managers and executive industry veterans with extensive experience in MEMS process development and high volume manufacturing.

Tronics MEMS will focus on custom MEMS process development and volume MEMS manufacturing. Tronics Microsystems, based in Crolles, France, will remain focused in producing highly differentiated custom MEMS and microsystems for a diverse customer base in the medical, life sciences, instrumentation, transportation and other industries around the world.
