AENEAS Appoints Director General
The association welcomes Marcel Annegarn at its top position.
AENEAS, the industrial association representing the Nanoelectronics R&D partners in the ENIAC Joint Undertaking, welcomed Marcel Annegarn as its Director General. Marcel Annegarn started his career at Philips Research in 1977 and spent almost 20 years fostering Philips' technological leadership in television and consumer electronics. In 2003 he joined Philips Semiconductors and managed the development department in the consumer cluster, such as DVD, audio, car infotainment, TV, etc.
From 2006 to April 2008, Marcel Annegarn headed the Project Office Philips Semiconductors, later NXP Semiconductors, responsible for development processes, the creation of development roadmaps for future products, standardisation and export control.
In his capacity as Director General of AENEAS, Marcel Annegarn will manage and co-ordinate activities for Europe's Nanoelectronics R&D performers and their stakeholders in the ENIAC programme. He will be based in the CATRENE Office and will thus ensure the utmost synergy of the programmes involved.
From 2006 to April 2008, Marcel Annegarn headed the Project Office Philips Semiconductors, later NXP Semiconductors, responsible for development processes, the creation of development roadmaps for future products, standardisation and export control.
