Huge Contract For Solarworld From India
The company to get a 10 year contract worth €750 million
As reported in business media, the Germany based solar wafer manufacturer said it won a long term contract from India based Solar Semiconductor. The contract would be lasting 10 years and the overall value would be €750 million.
In a statement Frank Abeck, CEO, mentioned that their plant in Freiberg, Saxony, is capable of fulfilling the capacity of the order.
The company plans to increase capacity over by the end of 2009 up to 750MW and further add 250MW in 2010. Within the next 2 years it is also planned to invest €350 million in the plant while creating 500 new jobs.
