FEI Expands In Czech Republic
Electron microscope and ion-beam system producer FEI opened a new 8600m2 site in Brno, Czech Republic. This new facility replaces a previous building in Brno and features extensive space for expanded production, research and development capabilities, and enhanced field service and support. FEI currently has 164 employees in the city.
Electron microscope and ion-beam system producer FEI opened a new 8600m2 site in Brno, Czech Republic. This new facility replaces a previous building in Brno and features extensive space for expanded production, research and development capabilities, and enhanced field service and support. FEI currently has 164 employees in the city.
FEI will move production of certain electron microscopes and DualBeam (focused ion beam and SEM) tools to Brno along with the manufacture of system modules. The companys Morgani transmission electron microscope and Quanta family of variable-pressure SEMs are already being produced at the location.
Jiri Ocadlik, FEIs general manager of operations in the Czech Republic, reports: "Since 1993, our Brno operation has shipped more than 750 systems to customers around the world."
