Brooks-PRI Automation announced further
Brooks-PRI Automation announced further "streamlining" of its operating
costs, which will result in a 13% reduction in its worldwide workforce. The
aim is to lower the operating breakeven point below previous target levels.
The new staff level is set to be 2550 people. Two facilities are to be
eliminated. One plant already due for closure is to see an accelerated
shutdown. These actions come on top of cutbacks connected with the
acquisition of PRI Automation.
