A EUR3.5mn Research Program Devoted Exclusively To OVPD
A EUR3.5mn research program devoted exclusively to OVPD (organic vapour
phase deposition) technology for organic LED (OLED) display applications has
been granted by the German Ministry of Research and Education to a group of
researchers headed by Aixtron.
Scientists from TU Braunschweig, TU Chemnitz and the chemical company SynTec
have formed a team to bring the technology into production. New OVPD
precursors will be adapted towards efficient production of full colour
displays.
An Aixtron Tricent OVPD tool especially developed for OLED production will
be installed at TU Braunschweig. New high-purity starting materials,
tailored for use in OVPD, will be developed by SynTec.
