German mixed-signal test equipment maker SZ Testsysteme reports a renewed
recession in the past three months. Customers have postponed orders for Q3
into the next financial year. Sales of EUR25m are expected,
AMD has further depressed its expectations for the quarter ending on June 30
(Q2). Sales are now expected to be $600. AMD announced in mid June a reduced
forecast of $620-700m from $820-900m (Bulletin 338, June 24, 2002), which
would result in a "substantial operating loss". The final results will be
presented on July 17.
