Infineon Technologies reports Q4 revenues at EUR1.38bn, up 28% year-on-year.
Net losses come in at EUR506mn, compared with a EUR523mn loss in 2001.

chipcard segments remains uncertain until the end of Q2 FY2003. And we
expect continued price pressure in all business groups in the months ahead."

Aixtrons Q3 sales were EUR35.3mn, compared with EUR69.1 in 2001. Net income
was EUR4.6mn, compared with 2001s EUR10.6mn. Order backlog stands at
EUR105mn (EUR143mn in 2001). The companys executive board reports that
there is an increase risk of delayed revenue associated with late payments.
Excimer laser producer Lambda Physik reports sales of EUR98.5mn in the year
ended September 30, 2002. The companys target had been EUR100mn. Sales in
2001 hit EUR138mn. Net losses for 2002 were EUR1.3mn compared with a
EUR1.3mn net profit in 2001.
Taiwan foundry UMC reports October sales up 27.65% on 2001 at TWD6.027bn.
