Compound Semi Producer Expands

Intense Photonics has expanded its capability with an extra 95m2 of cleanroom space at its Scottish compound semiconductor fabrication facility. The new area is for additional optoelectronic life test, assembly and packaging development.
Intense Photonics has expanded its capability with an extra 95m2 of clean room at its Scottish compound semiconductor fabrication facility. The new area is for additional optoelectronic life test, assembly and packaging development.


The Scottish company has an exclusive license to University of Glasgow quantum well intermixing (QWI) technology. Intense Photonics processes allow different bandgaps to be implemented in the same device, allowing the combination of a laser source with manipulative functions such as optical switching.
