Viridian In National Supply Agreement With Bellway
Bellway has chosen a preferred specification of Clearline fusion from Viridian Solar for all of its new homes where there is a requirement for solar and the two companies have entered into a national supply agreement.
Active throughout England, Scotland and Wales, Bellway built 10,307 new homes in 2018, a figure that has increased by more than 50% over the last five years. The company, which was founded in 1946 in Newcastle Upon Tyne, fitted renewable technology to many of its new homes last year. Bellway's homes have an average Dwelling Emissions Rate (DER) 5% better than that required by building regulations.
Jamie Berryman, Sales Director at Viridian Solar said:
"It's great to see another big housebuilder take control of the solar that they use on their homes by specifying our Clearline fusion solar roofing system. We look forward to working closely with Bellway to deliver many more homes with beautiful solar."
Adrian Hill, Group Head of Procurement at Bellway said:
"More and more of the houses that we build are coming complete with solar panels, and we wanted to ensure that our customers could benefit from good-looking roof-integrated solar. We have already worked with Viridian Solar on many of our developments and are very happy with the quality of the product so a preferred group specification seemed the logical next step."
