LG Solar Builds On Growth With Further Appointments
In 2018 LG Solar, the solar division of electronics manufacturer LG Electronics, reported a record year. The manufacturer of high-performance panels increased its sales, brought new, more powerful products to market and further expanded its production capacities. LG has grown further in the first quarter of 2019, and its premium panels and new energy storage systems in the LG ESS series mean it is set to continue this growth. LG has also announced the expansion of its sales teams throughout Europe, enabling even further growth.
In 2018, LG Solar succeeded in increasing its European sales figures by over 60 percent compared to the year before. This was as a result of consumers increasingly opting for LG's high-quality panels, which are not only reliable but are also leading the way in terms of price and ecological performance. This is particularly significant given the increasing demand for solar energy, meaning LG can continue to increase its performance yet again in the second and third quarters of 2019, and to further increase sales volumes.
With the launch of the V5 series, LG is in prime position. Whether you're new to the world of solar energy or an established user, LG panels offer consistently high performance. The V5 series panels are both lighter and have a higher performance output. As well as this, LG continues to provide investment security for all customers by once again improving the 25-year performance guarantee - now, LG can guarantee over 90 percent power output after 25 years for all Neon 2 and Neon R panels of the V5 series.
Last quarter, LG Solar strengthened its European sales team with additional appointments in order to further increase support to all markets and customers. At the beginning of the year, Key Account Manager Michael Ibesich took over in the Austrian market, Nicolas Levavasseur strengthened the French sales team and solar market expert Fito Verdugo took over in Benelux. LG Solar has also expanded its Nordic team with Sales Manager Pejman Maparzadeh taking over to accelerate growth.
In addition to this, LG has successfully increased its sales figures throughout the German, Italian and Spanish markets thanks to additional staffing in the second quarter of 2019. Adam Glapiak and Alexander Schopf were the two solar experts who entered the German market while Luca Fafanelli, Sales Manager, supported the Italian sales teams. Jordi Garcia will continue handling the Spanish market as LG Sales Manager.
“Last year, the demand for solar panels increased yet again. More and more consumers are expecting reliable and efficient solar solutions and therefore rely on our high-performance panels. Our high standards and innovative product portfolio are valued by partners and customers alike. With the strengthening of the sales teams, LG will increase its presence further across European markets,” said Michael Harre, Vice President of the EU Solar Business Group at LG Electronics. “Based on this expertise, our quality guarantee and our continuing innovations, we want to build on the success seen in the second quarter of 2019.”
