Elgin Energy See Success At Home And Abroad

It has been a busy couple of months for Elgin Energy. The company have secured planning on 6 sites in the first half of 2018 including a 25MW at Ballyragget and also five 4MW sites at Castlepollard in Westmeath, Kilmacthomas in Waterford, Gorey in Wexford, Finnea in Cavan & Glenamaddy in Galway Ireland.

On Friday 22 June, Elgin were granted planning for High Park Foot in Cumbria, England. It is a 20MW project located in Northern England. This means the company has 258MW of projects with planning granted across the UK & Ireland.

In further good news in May, Elgin Energy was granted planning permission for Milltown Airfield, a 50MW solar farm in North East Scotland. Milltown Airifeld is a 50MW site located near Elgin in Moray. It is the first solar development approved by the Energy Consents Unit (ECU) of the Scottish Government which rules on projects of 50MW or greater in output. It is adjacent to Speyslaw, 20MW (another one of our projects) which was granted planning in August 2017. Both projects are located on Innes Estate. This makes a total of 90MW of fully consented projects in Scotland.
