SOLARWATT Teams With Solisco To Launch EV-Ports
SOLARWATT, provider of photovoltaic systems, is teaming up with Solisco, the supplier of solar EV-Ports, to show how homeowners and organisations can create their own solar powered electric vehicle charging infrastructure.
The companies will exhibit together on stand B52 at Fully Charged LIVE, the electric vehicle and renewable energy event taking place on the weekend of 9-10 June at the legendary Silverstone motor racing circuit in Northamptonshire, UK.
The electric vehicle revolution is under way across the UK, with more than 105,000 electric vehicles on the road in July 2017, according to a report by the industry body Energy UK. A surge in demand for EVs has led to new registrations of plug-in cars, including hybrids, increasing from 3,500 in 2013 to more than 150,000 by May 2018.
The partnership means installers and end-users can benefit from both solar photovoltaic systems made in Germany by SOLARWATT and the advanced Solar EV-Port design, site surveying and installation services for which Solisco is well known.
“Amid all the news about EV charging networks investment, it’s important to know people can build their own infrastructure, using the natural power of the sun," said Marcus Horsley, UK and Ireland Sales Manager of SOLARWATT. “This complementary partnership means customers get Solisco’s innovative carport solutions with our own advanced modules, batteries and EnergyManager."
Pol Spronck, SOLARWATT Deputy Head of Selected Markets International, said: “Home and work charging of EVs are the future. Come and meet us and let’s talk at Fully Charged LIVE."
Mark Maurice, CTO, Director of Solisco, said: “We strongly believe in the future of electromobility based on 100% renewable energy. With our advanced solar EV-Ports, you can provide ultimate protection for your vehicles, whilst generating solar energy for your EV as well as your home."
Parveen Begum, CEO, Director of Solisco, said: “Our highly engineered EV-Port is an asset that combines contemporary design with innovative technology; transforming your driveway or carpark into an intelligent energy hub, by incorporating solar PV, smart charging solutions and battery storage systems."
