NextEnergy Solar Fund Acquires Two Solar Plants

NextEnergy Solar Fund has acquired two operating solar plants, covering a total of 21.7 megawatts peak and an investment value of GBP26.4 million.

Both plants situated in Suffolk were acquired from one counterparty, and consists of Bay Farm in with a total installed capacity of 8.1MWp, and Honnington with 13.6MWp.

Both plants were connected to the grid in March 2014 and are accredited under the 1.6 Renewable Obligation Certificate regulation.

NextEnergy will fund this acquisition through its existing resources. Since its initial public offering in 2014, the fund has secured a portfolio of 50 solar photovoltaic panels with a total investment value of GBP581.0 million.
