Solar Plants Named Best UK Business Of The Year
Solar installers Solar Plants Ltd has been named Best UK Business of the Year 2016. The South Wales firm fended off competition from Virgin Money, O2 and Aldi to win the top prize at the inaugural UK National Business Awards, held in London last Friday.
The Awards were created to recognise and celebrate the delivery of exceptional business initiatives whether by teams or businesses as a whole. Along with the Best UK Business of the Year award, the firm was also named SME Business of the Year.
Solar Plants Ltd supply solar and other renewable energy systems to homeowners and commercial clients throughout Great Britain. In February they installed the UK's first Tesla Powerwall at a residential property in Cardiff, as reported by The Guardian.
In a troubled 2016 for the industry, Solar Plants Ltd posted a record turnover of £7.1 million, and is projecting an increase on that figure in 2016-17.
Solar Plants Ltd Operations Director, Daniel Crossland, says: "We are extremely proud just to have represented the solar sector at this prestigious ceremony. It feels incredible to have come away with the top prize, despite the adversity facing our industry in recent times.
"We put our success down to three key factors: spearheading the latest technology, driving innovation, and staying true to our core values of quality service and product. Solar customers want to buy into the best performing renewable energy, so that is what we consistently strive to deliver."
