Schletter Group doubles consolidated sales for 2022

News

Schletter Group, a manufacturer of solar mounting systems, continued to grow significantly and profitably in the 2022 financial year. The company recorded an annual turnover of around 330 million euros. This corresponds to an increase of 109 per cent compared with the previous year. This makes Schletter one of the ten largest manufacturers of solar mounting systems in the world.

"Our product drive over the last few years is paying off," emphasised Florian Roos, CEO of the Schletter Group. Schletter revamped its product portfolio in recent years and has focused consistently on optimising the use of materials and assembly time for its systems. A particularly major milestone was the new and further development of Schletter's 1V and 2V Tracking Systems, which are in high demand among investors and project developers and have made a substantial contribution to sales growth. "Another indicator of this positive progress is that we have hired more than 200 new colleagues globally last year."

In total, more than six and a half gigawatts of PV power have been installed on Schletter systems worldwide in 2022. In the Dominican Republic, for example, Schletter recently supplied a 96 MWp solar park with its 2V Tracking System. This project is the largest to date using a Schletter Tracking System. In addition, in South Korea, near the city of Seosan, one of the country's largest solar power plants with 136 MWp is being built using the Schletter FS Duo system.

Schletter intends to continue its growth trajectory in 2023 and is investing in the further development of the company and new markets. To this end, the company has raised investor funds of 65 million euros via a bond issued in October 2022. "It is important for us to continue to expand our structures and resources in line with our sales growth," Roos explained. The company is currently building another production site in Turkey and a new logistics centre in Europe. Schletter is also working on a new AgriPV system and a new PV carport, as the company also aims to gain a significant share in these markets.
